Leah Myers joined the Ministry of Finance in November 2012, as Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM), Income Security and Pension Policy Division. In addition to this portfolio, she was appointed as interim ADM of Financial Services Policy Division in August 2016.
Leah is an experienced OPS policy leader with extensive experience gained from over 25 years in a variety of different ministries. She has served more than ten years as an ADM in various leadership positions, including more than four years as the ADM Health, Social & Education Policy at Cabinet Office. She also led a number of high-profile policy development projects, including post-secondary education reform and the transformation of Ontario’s social assistance system.
Leah was the president of Durham College in Oshawa from 2006-2008 where she spearheaded the development of a new Strategic Plan for the College.
Leah holds an Honours B.A. in Political Science from the University of Toronto, and is a graduate of the Directors Education Program at Institute of Corporate Directors.
