Maureen Buckley was the Assistant Deputy Minister and Provincial Controller, Office of the Provincial Controller Division, Treasury Board Secretariat. In this role, Maureen was responsible for maintaining Ontario’s Public Accounts, preparing the Annual Report and Consolidated Financial Statements for the Province, providing accounting and financial management advice to the government and ensuring effective financial systems, control policies and practices are in place.
Maureen worked at Price Waterhouse before joining the Office of the Auditor General as an Audit Manager in 1994. Since then, Maureen held several leadership positions across the Ontario Public Service, including as Assistant Deputy Minister/Chief Administrative Office, Regional and Corporate Services Division supporting the ministries of Citizenship and Immigration, Tourism, Culture and Sport, International Trade, Status of Women and Seniors Affairs. Among Maureen’s many accomplishments was her involvement in the development and implementation of the Integrated Financial Information System (IFIS).
Maureen is a Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) and holds a BA from York University.
